Capitals Of Europe

Europe is part of one of the five continents that make up the planet earth. It has 11 thousand square kilometers. It occupies only 2% of the total surface. In size it ranks fourth among the five continents. Europe is bordered to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the east by Asia, to the north by the Arctic Ocean, to the south by the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. It is the continent that has the most countries per square meter.

The continent is made up of purely European countries and other Eurasian ones, the latter belonging to the two continents of Europe and Asia. There are 50 countries in total: 43 are purely European and seven are Eurasian.

Tips

Visit the following tourist places in the main European capitals

  1. Paris: the Eiffel Tower: it is a 300-meter tower, made of puddled iron and is the symbol of this city. Also visit the National Palace of the Invalides (a palace built for retired soldiers, there you will also find Napoleon’s tomb), the Arc de Triomphe (along with the tower it is one of the most representative monuments) and the Pantheon, the latter being the first great monument of Paris.
  2. MadridPuerta del Sol is the most important square in Madrid, where you will also find buildings that are very significant in the city. Inside this square you will find three very interesting places: the statue of the Bear and the Madroño, the clock of the Casa de Correos, and kilometer zero (all the radial roads of Spain begin there). This place is very touristy. You can also visit the most famous street in Madrid called La Gran Vía, it is said to be the street that never sleeps. Being in the Puerta del Sol, you can easily go to the Plaza Mayor because of its proximity, this square is one of the oldest in Spain.
  3. Rome: this city is a place full of history, therefore, if you visit it, take your time to learn a lot about it. In addition to being the center of Christianity, many people visit Rome on pilgrimage and for religious events, especially at Easter. Don’t miss visiting: Piazza España, Piazza Venezia, The Vatican, Piazza Navona, Trastevere (a very typical place in Rome and a very good place to go out at night and go to dinner), Fontana de Trevi (a spectacular fountain), the Roman Colosseum, the Agrippa Pantheon, the Chiral Hill (the highest of the 7 hills of Rome), among others.
  4. London: the Palace of Westminster, also known as the Houses of Parliament, as the Houses of Parliament work there, has Victorian Gothic architecture. Westminster Abbey is worth knowing, as it is the most famous and oldest temple in London, it was built over several centuries. The United Kingdom is a monarch country and among its biggest tourist attractions is Buckingham Palace in London, where the Royal family resides.
  5. Berlin: Get yourself a guided tour of the historic center of Berlin, several of the most important tourist sites in the city are centered there, such as the Berlin Wall, the memorial to the murdered Jews, the Humboldt University (great book burning in 1933), among others.
