Let’s know everything related to the sport of volleyball, volleyball, volleyball or also known as volleyball. This is a sport in which two teams face each other, made up of a total of their players on each team. The game is played on a field which is divided in half by a net (or mesh) to which the ball must be passed over it. The objective in volleyball is for the ball to pass over the net until it reaches the opposing team’s zone and touches the ground. This is how the points are scored until they reach 25, which is when a set ends.
Therefore, the objective in this sport is to be able to score points, keeping the ball passes to the opponent’s field. Although it is not a very simple task, since the opposing team will try to prevent it, defending their area and returning the ball. Either with techniques such as touches, receptions or blocks.
One piece of information that is worth mentioning is that the ball can be received or touched with any part of the body, as long as it is a clean hit. Despite this, the most usual (and comfortable) is to do it with the forearms and hands. And while the game is unfolding, the ball can never be stopped or retained by any of the players. This is considered a foul that is penalized with one point for the opponent.
If you wonder where the word «Volleyball» comes from, it comes from the English «VolleyBall». Written until 1952 as Volley ball.
